It’s Flippin’ Friday!

Whoo-hoo! It’s here again! Time to break out those fantastic tales of fun!

Portmeirion glasses, Royal Doulton Toby mugs, a Brooks Brothers picnic basket, a Dresden figurine, and two office desks w/ credenzas were the fun “flippin’ stories” we got last week.

Let’s hear a great flipping story you have!  In your flip story, let us know what your item was, how much you paid, what you got for it…make us run for our cars and head to the thrift stores!  Just put it in the comment section below….

And if you like seeing flips…check out blogger Thrift Away with her  new blog dedicated to nothing but flips! Definitely something to add to your daily read….

My tale begins at a thrift store where a now defunct craft wholesaler donated a ton of craft items. Bags and bags of multiple things. One of the items that caught my eye were these little packages of 12 plastic lady faces. They were flat on the back and the faces were bald. The kind people make pins out of and design their own little hats and accessories to go on the faces. Anyway…there were about 5 BIG bags of these little packages…in all I probably bought 200 little packages of faces. I paid less than $20.00 for all of them. I sold each little package for $12.00 a piece. I sold out of them very quickly.

I recently bought a Mikasa Garden Harvest square baking dish at a yard sale for 50 cents and sold it on ebay for $31 a week later.
