A good reason to be a “basket case”….

We’re smack dab into the fall season and you know what that means…..baskets, baskets, baskets!

Keep your eyes open in those basket piles at the thrift stores/garage sales for Longaberger pieces.  They are usually marked on the bottom (or have a metal plate) and have a thick wooden weave look. Baskets from the 80’s are pulling in hundreds of dollars….including this…..( and I’m not kidding)….waste basket.

A JW Collection 1984  Longaberger waste basket sold recently on Ebay for $1,002.00 after 30 bids.  Yes, that’s a thousand dollars.

Again…I’m just the messenger, folks.

Of course, you won’t have to worry about my nutty self as your competition in the basket department.

That is impressive! Over a $1000, that’s crazy! Usually my Goodwill is full of baskets from easter and gift baskets. I’ll have to be on the lookout for the little metal plate!

Good heavens! Well, I’ll admit I do keep my eyes open for Longaberger baskets. Sadly I haven’t found one yet. But over $1000. Wow.
