Well, well…what do we have here?

I LOVE it when someone puts a treasure in the wrong section/category in the store based entirely on its looks.  I doubly love it when I’M the one that finds it.

That’s exactly what happened on Wednesday. Again…just doing a “check-in” in between last minute Christmas shopping at a nearby thrift store.

I was  looking quickly over things and ended up in their “holiday” section…and in their “Easter” section was this vintage ENID COLLINS box purse!  Whoo-hoo! I guess because it had spring flowers on it, it qualified as an Easter item. Lucky me!

Its the first E.C. purse I’ve had that was the “box style”.  She is more famous for her sequined canvas bags.  This one has some cosmetic damage here and there…but for 12 dollars….a bargain.

I’m not a big “purse” person…so this is going in my resell stash.

Want to know more about Enid Collins bags and purses? Here is a great article about them and their identifying marks.

That’s funny. I just found an Enid Collins wooden purse on Christmas Eve at a thrift store (….no really good excuse for being in the thrift store on Christmas Eve besides a thrift addiction). I didn’t know what it was until I checked Ebay-just knew it was something special because of the jewels and signature. Congratulations!!

That is a particularly cute one, too! I used to see her bags all the time at thrift stores — not so much anymore!
