I sold a vintage set of Blatz beer sign and light this week. I had them listed for a few weeks and got some low ball offers that I declined. I got a decent offer yesterday and accepted it. Paid $15 for them and sold them for $75. When I bought them at Goodwill I had a man try and convince me that he wanted them more after they were in my cart – twice! So I was pretty sure they would sell to the right person. All that is left is some careful shipping which should be interesting….

Missed posting this last Friday but this is too good not to mention. A couple weeks ago I found 8 men’s kilts at the thrift. They were with the women’s skirts & were on sale. I paid $10 for the lot. These kilts are by Utilikilt and retail for over $200! I put them up for auction & ALL sold last week. Total sales? Over $1340! Every one of the 8 was paid & shipped within 24 hours.

  3. I bought a Talbot’s blazer for $1.00 and sold it 4 days later for $19.99 – had 4 other items as well that I purchased for $1.00 the same day and have sold for $12.99 and $14.99.

Nice to know I have money to pay for preschool next month that doesn’t come out of the family budget!

Bought a bunch of Barney VHS tapes for around $3. Auction just ended at $41. I did free shipping, but still, a great profit!

I was at a garage sale and was a looking through a box of dishes. The lady came over and told me that the dishes had belonged to her husbands mother. They were brown transferware pattern made in England. I asked how much and she said the words we all love to hear “oh, you can just have them for free, I just want them gone”. Uh, ok. Sold them for $40.00 last week. Could of probably sold them for more if I would have priced them individually, but since they were free I decided to take the lazy way out. I was totally fine with $40.00 free dollars!

One of those rainy days at the thrift shop last week – browsing the outside section – under roofing but still exposed – I picked up a Christmas plate that looked promising. Priced at 50 cents. Perfect condition.
It’s a Villeroy & Boch Naif Christmas cake plate with handles. I just accepted an offer for $75!! Thrilled!

Rita@ Goodwill Haunting – you are the Ebay QUEEN!! I was just telling someone at dinner tonight about your kilt find!! I can’t help it – not only do I get excited about my amazing sales, but those I read about on line here!! Like my recently purchased pair of Bebe shoes @ Salvation Army for $1 – put then on ebay, someone emailed and asked what I’d take for them – I said, um, well $30. She got back to me within a minute and said I’ll take them! Seriously, Ebay is the easiest money I’ve ever made in my life. And it’s all “fun money” for me. But I always offer to teach others how to do it – and do you know not a one person has taken me up on it! I guess I just don’t get it. But anyways…………I’m always thrilled to read of the great flips you all are having! Keep up the great work, troops!! 🙂
