I went to our local auction wed and finally there was some good jewelry, long story made short, I came home with alot of jewelry. Well I started posting it last night (free auction listing day snuck up on me!) I listed an italian glass necklace I’d never heard of, put a really high starting price on it (75.00) with a BIN of 150.00. I woke up to a very happy sale this morning. Woo Hoo. If we could all just find those 5 items each week that will sell like that. Happy Friday. Looking forward to see what everyone else did.

Let’s see, an old Starbucks mug with an older logo. This logo was retired in the early 90s. It shows the full body of the mermaid, including a belly button! oh my! I found it for $1 at a yard sale and sold it for $40. A previous one I had went for $50 to Japan.
And another good one this week was a Pendleton wool shirt. The key to this one was the size. 2X Long. I had to wait a bit. And fend off lower offers (even though I didn’t have Best Offer on it). I had the same guy use different accouts to offer me different prices! I also put it on sale one week..and nothing! Finally an international buyer bought it at $55.

I bought a man’s vintage Borsalino fedora at an estate sale. The hat was in great condition and in a large size. I paid $20 and sold it for $150. I’m going to keep my eyes open for more men’s clothing and accessories.

I purchased 7 Disney Duck Video Tapes at a thrift for a quarter a piece and sold the set for $28 dollars in my store. I get a lot of views on my lots of VHS videos but this was my first sale since I started putting the lots together.

I was surprised to finally sell Janson’s History of Art: The Western Tradition, an art history textbook that I picked up last summer at a yard sale for 25 cents. It sold for $13.95 plus shipping. It was a fairly recent text, not the very latest edition. That was a decent flip for me and an excellent buy for a student! I relisted it several times before it sold – changed photos, changed verbage in the listing, etc.

I also sold a reproduction page from the Bible printed on the famous Gutenberg Press in Mainz, Germany. That was an extra we picked up when stationed there in the early ’90s. I have no idea how much it cost then, but it sold for $19.95 plus shipping. It is the second one I’ve eBayed. We have two of these pages framed in our own home.

  7. Thanks for listing me on your links-I appreciate it! Great site BTW….

Remington Tight Curls Hot Roller Set $65 (paid 3) to Canada. Starbucks Bearista IRELAND Bear $25 (paid .50), Like-New Cole Haan black platform pumps with Nike Air heels $70 (paid 20, I think) and free shipping. Seller friend recommended I move to Free Shipping & up my BIN prices & take off my Best Offers for my Store–it really seemed to help my sales this week!
