Flippin’ Friday – #73

Oh yeah…it’s Flippin’ Friday again! Boy…are we having some fun now! Sales are really heating up!

Last week, we had some great flips involving a set of wooden train tracks, a set of Figgjo plates, a mid-century headboard,11 hardcover 1980′s-90′s how-to-paint watercolor books, a red Fossil leather wallet, a HABA brand ‘Phil soft toy doll , a Singing Barney plush toy, Sanita clogs,a vintage 1971 framed crewel embroidery “Owls in a Tree” by Erica Wilson, a pair of Allen Edmonds men’s dress shoes, a 24″ braided necklace with matching bracelet, 2 side view mirrors from a 1970 chevy truck, and a set of Lady Schick Lasting Curls Hairsetter with Beautifying Mist – electric hot rollers w/ the clips from the 70′s. WOWZERS!  Fun reads! Thanks to everyone who shared a story!

If you have a great flip you’d like to share, just write it in the comments section below! We love reading them! Just be sure to include your item, what you paid, and what it sold for in the end.

  1. I flipped a pair of tall Frye boots, size 5.5. Bought them for $6 and they sold that day for $85. Less shipping I made $69 on them. I might have been able to list them for higher, but the smaller sizes tend to sit longer, so I’m happy for the quick flip!

I bought a Clearblue Easy Fertility monitor last week for $2.50 and sold it about 48-hrs later for $100. Wheeee!

  3. Susan says:

I love this blog! I am learning so much from all of you.
The Allen Edmonds shoes I referenced last week, purchased at the third day of an estate sale for $2.50, sold Monday on eBay for $91.67. Woohoo! I have my husband to thank – he knows men’s shoes.

  4. Bargain Bon Vivant says:

I purchased a Disney Little Einstein’s Pat Pat Rocket for $8 at a kids resale shop. I sold it for $159.99. This is the second one I’ve sold for that price since October.

  5. I found a pair of 1980s Mens Nikes (for $1.00) and threw them up last week on Ebay, they sold last night or $51.o0 Yay! Love it when 1 item pays for the entire trip 🙂

  6. Deeda in Seattle says:

Sorry, a bit late to respond: Vintage flowered sheet still in packaging $19(cost $2), Doc Martens wingtip oxfords $39($6), Pokemon trading card mat still in pkg $17 (cost .20?), Pyrex Vintage Red Fridgie w/ Lid $17 ($2–and I wanted to keep this one!), Perlina NY leather backpack handbag $41($3), EMU Australia tall boots $40($3), and the best: my husband’s white elephant exchange gift–a new still packaged The Muppets 25th Anniversary Tin w/ 2 sets of playing cards $17 (Free)–Not a huge flip, but I wondered how long that had been re-gifted over and over before I sold it! These all had Free Shipping and the heavy shoes are killing my profits! Still SLOW selling, too…

  7. Marci says:

Sold a pair of Men’s Doc Marten Boots. Paid 8.99 sold for $55.00. 5 Wilton cake pans paid about $5.00 sold for $26.00, and pair of Trafalgar suspenders paid $1.00 sold for $10.00. All three items I learned about here, thanks LNC! I love this website!
