Just got a visitor from your blog to mine (as shown on my Feedjit). Thanks for the link to my post! I had a neat flip this week. I found a little gold crown with a cross on top at a flea market among some odds n’ ends jewelry. The seller didn’t know what it was so I got it for a dollar. But I knew what it was! It’s a crown that goes on the head of those religious dolls/statues (called Infant of Prague) . My grandmother had one her dresser. The tiny crown sold with a BIN for $24.99. Thanks again for the mention! Have a great treasure hunting weekend!

Haiku by Sharon Eisenhauer Vegan Wallet NWOT $25 (paid 2), Pokemon Rayquaza Plush Toy(my kids said he’s Rare, and they know!) $15 (.99), Vintage 1960s Yellow Roses Twin Sheet NIP $18(2), New Spanx Tight End Tights $25(2), and the week’s Best & Unusual Item: Vintage 1964 Dam Brand 3″ Troll (so ugly it’s almost cute) for $30, paid a pittance of probably 20cents at GW Outlet–and sold overnight! All went w/ Free Shipping, and Sales picked up a bit this week–5 since last evening!! Hurrah!!

My friend’s daughter is into pokemon plush big time, bought one large pokemon for $25.00 and sold it for about $1400.00

      • Deeda in Seattle says:

        WOW!!! $1400, no kidding??!

      • Lorraine says:

Seriously? $1400.00??? Wow! I bought a talking Ash figure for 5 bucks. He holds various Pokemon figures that are Think Chips, but he didn’t come with any so I bought one for $13.50. They are hard to find. I think they go the Battle Arena game as well. I’ll be keeping an eye out for those now.

So, I’ve decided to jump on the “Flipping things on Ebay” bandwagon… I’ve got 7 items listed now. The two attracting the most attention are the Versace Tie (paid $2, currently at $10) and the Dale Of Norway sweater (I just posted it and have one watcher after less than 20 minutes!). A similar sweater is at $76 with more than a day left… I think that was a wise $5 purchase. ; )

Bought a stack of Off Road magazines from the 1960’s from an estate sale for $5.00, sold for $100.00

I had purchased some French Porcelain in the past and it sold well, but it took a few weeks. It was white, shell shaped dishes. When I found some Pillivuyt French Porcelain pieces I picked them up. I found a serving tray and 6 dessert dishes on one trip and listed them. They sold within 36 hours!!! to the same person. I went back to the same thrift store a week later, looking for more of the same pattern. Yeah, I found two dinner plates in the same pattern. I emailed the purchaser of the other items and told her I had two plates and then I listed them. She purchased them also!!! Total investment was $6.67 and all sold for $134. Pillivuyt Porcelain is on my radar!!!

I bought a really ugly jean jacket for either .50 or $2 – denim with fake pearls sewn all over. It sold within 24 hours for $25! Brand – The Quacker Factory.

I had some decent flips this week: a Dept. 56 Village Animated Skating pond that I got for $3 and sold for $43 + shipping during the free auction listings (probably could have gotten more if I held til winter, but the quick flip was ok for me), Clairol Set to Go vintage travel hot rollers that I paid $.95 and sold for $24.99 + shipping at auction, a women’s Oilily wool sweater I bought for $2 and sold for $64.99 + shipping and finally a down coat that I found in our closet (was my husband’s but hasn’t fit him for years) that I got my full asking price of $89.99 including shipping.
