Dooyahavwun?

This edition of “Dooyahavwun” was inspired by a flip story this past Friday.

If you get a chance, look on Ebay for “Pokemon plush”. These odd (but creative) creatures are selling for record prices!  Big or small…the used ones are going for prices between $25.00-$100.00. Some of the rarer, larger ones are hitting hundreds of dollars. And these have a pretty decent sell-through rate.

If you have another few minutes, it would be worth your while to research all kinds of Pokemon merchandise. The stuff is still going crazy!

Better “Catch them all!” in your adventures!

I haven’t had a HUGE one yet–I read (maybe an urban legend?) online that someone sold one for $1400 (paid $25). But I can consistently buy decent quality ones for .49-.99 and sell them for $9.99-19.99, depending on the rarity. My daughters (14&18) both grew up playing the card game/video games/watched the cartoon, so I just ask them the names and how rare they are–they can be ‘rare’ in the video games, as well as ‘rare’ in the sense that there aren’t very many of them. Collectors have their favorites! There are a few that ‘talk’ and are worth a bit more. I think it’s worth it to list if they have the Nintendo or Original Japanese tags–as there are some cheap knock-offs. Most popular Anime (Japanese animation) characters and video game characters (Japanese originally) sell very well–keep your eyes out for Power Puff Girls, Nintendo Yoshi, Mario, Princess Peach, etc, and Sonic the Hedgehog characters, and more!

  2. Thank you for all that great info!!!! Wow! Definitely something to be on the lookout for!!
